To give a fresh thrust to Andhra Pradesh’s aviation sector, representatives of MANO Aircraft Services, a Coimbatore-based aviation company specializing in the manufacture of two-seater and three-seater aircraft, met Minister for Investments and Infrastructure B.C. Janardhan Reddy at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
During the meeting at the Roads and Buildings Department office, company representative Vignesh conveyed MANO’s keen interest in establishing an aircraft production unit in the state. He explained that the company, with proven expertise in small aircraft manufacturing, is exploring Andhra Pradesh as a potential base to expand its operations. The delegation informed the Minister that a detailed proposal for setting up the unit will soon be submitted, outlining investment, infrastructure requirements, and operational details.
Responding to the proposal, Minister Janardhan Reddy assured the delegation that the state government will extend all necessary cooperation once formal investment proposals are placed on record. “The government is committed to encouraging investments in aviation and manufacturing. If MANO Aircraft Services comes forward with full-fledged proposals, we will provide every possible support,” the Minister said.
Expressing optimism about the state’s future in the sector, the Minister said Andhra Pradesh is steadily emerging as an aviation hub with several leading companies showing interest in setting up facilities. “We welcome the growing interest from reputed firms in the aviation sector. The establishment of aircraft manufacturing units here will create skilled jobs, boost industrial growth, and position Andhra Pradesh as a major player in India’s aviation map,” he added.
