Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday instructed the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials to expedite the ongoing development works in Amaravati and ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines. Reviewing the progress of capital city projects at his camp office, the Chief Minister emphasised that speed, quality, and aesthetics must be the defining features of Amaravati’s transformation.

During the review, Naidu said that the construction companies must deploy adequate machinery and manpower to accelerate works and avoid further delays. “Amaravati must reflect our vision of a world-class capital city. There should be no compromise on quality, greenery, and beautification,” the Chief Minister asserted.

He stressed that greenery and landscaping should be treated as top priorities in the development process, adding that beautification and environmental balance are key to making Amaravati a model capital. The Chief Minister directed the officials to adopt modern urban design concepts and ensure that public spaces, parks, and gardens enhance the city’s visual appeal and livability.

Addressing the issue of returnable plot registrations for farmers who had voluntarily contributed their land for capital development, Naidu instructed that all pending cases be cleared immediately. Officials informed him that registrations were still pending for 2,471 farmers due to technical reasons. The Chief Minister said he would soon meet with farmers from the capital region to personally review the matter and ensure justice for all stakeholders.

Reiterating his vision, the Chief Minister said that iconic structures and high-rise towers are essential to give Amaravati a distinctive skyline and international identity. “Amaravati should stand as a symbol of progress, innovation, and global standards,” he remarked.

Minister for Municipal Administration P. Narayana and senior CRDA officials attended the meeting. The Chief Minister’s directives signal renewed momentum in Amaravati’s development, reflecting the government’s determination to restore the capital’s growth trajectory with a blend of speed, sustainability, and style.
