The much-anticipated Deep Mela 2025 began on a grand note at HITEX Exhibition Grounds, Hyderabad, on Friday. The event was inaugurated by Nandini Mallu, Chairperson of Amma Foundation, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.

Organized by Deepshikha Mahila Club, the three-day event (July 18–20) celebrates over 30 years of tradition, blending social impact with cultural vibrancy. The club, dedicated to women’s empowerment and children’s education for the past 61 years, also runs Kanya Gurukul High School, benefiting around 1,700 students.

Under the dynamic leadership of new president Priyanka Baheti, this year’s mela has drawn enthusiastic participation. With over 230 stalls from across India, the exhibition showcases designer wear, jewelry, handicrafts, home décor, gift platters, skincare, nutrition products, and specially crafted rakhis.

Food lovers can enjoy a variety of regional delicacies at the food court. The mela serves as a key fundraiser supporting Deepshikha Mahila Club’s social initiatives while promoting local artisans and entrepreneurs.

The Deepshikha Mahila Club committee for 2025–2026 includes President Priyanka Baheti, Immediate Past President Radhika Malani, Vice President Sangeeta Jain, Secretary Bhavna Sangi, Treasurer Meenakshi Bhuraria, Joint Secretary Shivani Tibrewal, Member Indira Dochaniya, and Advisor Usha Sangi.
