Sushmita, a 21-year-old, suffered a devastating fall from the 4th floor, arrived at Ozone Hospitals in critical condition with multiple fractures, severe blood loss, and dangerously low blood pressure. She was immediately stabilized in the ICU and underwent a series of complex, life-saving surgeries.
Her injuries included pelvic fractures, broken thighs, right arm and left ankle fractures, and compound wounds. Ozone's expert medical team performed advanced DFLCP plating for femur fractures, humerus and ankle fixation, and complex pelvic bone reconstruction, while also managing pulmonary edema in critical care.
Thanks to the skill and dedication of the multidisciplinary team - including orthopedic, general, neuro, pulmonary, ICU, anesthesia, and physiotherapy specialists. Sushmita has now moved to the general ward and started physiotherapy-led wheelchair mobilization.
Her journey from near-fatal trauma to recovery stands as a shining example of medical excellence and teamwork.
Ozone Hospital salutes their heroes: Dr. Kalyan, Dr. Raghava Aditya, Dr. Suresh Reddy, Dr. Nikhil, Dr. Vikas, Dr. Rajesh, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Sai Teja & Team, Dr. Indrasen Reddy, and Dr. Sushma. Sushmita’s courage, combined with expert care, brought her back from the brink.
