Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Thursday announced that over 40,000 Congress party workers will participate in the upcoming “Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem, Jai Samvidhan” event at LB Stadium, Hyderabad, on July 4.

The event will see the presence of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and several senior leaders. Goud said the gathering would include party leaders from village to district level, as well as ministers, MPs, MLAs, and corporation chairpersons. The main objective is to motivate grassroots-level leadership and reinforce the party’s commitment to social justice.

Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, Goud criticised BRS MLC K. Kavitha for writing to the AICC President about BC reservations, calling it political posturing. “Where was her concern when BRS was in power for 10 years?” he asked, accusing her of exploiting BC issues for political relevance.

He highlighted Congress’ record of supporting SC, ST, and BC communities, noting the party ensured 42% reservation for BCs in local bodies, education, and healthcare. He also attacked the BJP for not appointing a BC as state chief.
