The sleuths of Malakpet Police Station and South East Zone Task Force arrested the accused persons who were involved in the murder case of Kethavath Chandu Rathod, CPI State Council Member, on July 15.
Accused persons were identified as (A-1) Donthi Rajesh (48), resident of Satyanagar colony near Uppal. (A-4) Arjun Gnana Prakash (26), (A-5) Lingibedi (30) and (A-6) Kandukuri Prashanth (30). (A-2) Kumba Yedukondalu, (A-3) Sreenu are still absconding in this case.
The main accused Rajesh belongs to CPI-ML Red flag party and is Telangana State Secretary, who in criminal conspiracy with associates, plotted the murder of Kethavath Chandu Rathod who was a state council member from the CPI Party and was close friend for four years. Rajesh, was feeling betrayed by the Chandu Rathod, over financial loss to the tune of Rs 50 Lakhs and political fall and apprehended life threat from him and hence decided to eliminate him.
The crime scene was examined with the help of the clues team and vital forensic evidence including three fired cartridges, two misfired bullets and two leads were recovered from the scene and blood-stained clothes were seized from the SOC. Technical analysis and fingerprint evidence led to the identification of the accused.
