Press Club conducts cancer screening camp

Hyderabad: Under the aegis of the Somajiguda Press Club, a special cancer screening camp was organized exclusively for journalists and their family members in association with Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. During the camp, a wide range of screening tests were conducted, including oral cancer screening, chest X-ray, pap smear test for women, mammography and ultrasound scans.

Free doctor consultations and awareness sessions on cancer prevention and early detection were also conducted as part of the initiative. Around 150 journalists availed themselves of the screening tests. Press Club President S. Vijay Kumar Reddy, General Secretary Ramesh Varikuppala, and other committee members extended their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital for readily organizing the camp.
