Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker and Vikarabad MLA Gaddam Prasad Kumar distributed Indiramma housing proceedings to 613 beneficiaries from Vikarabad town and mandal at the MLA camp office in Vikarabad. District Collector Prateek Jain, Additional Collector Sudheer, public representatives, officials, and beneficiaries participated in the event.
Out of the total, 359 beneficiaries are from Vikarabad town and 254 from the surrounding mandal. Addressing the gathering, Speaker Prasad Kumar urged all beneficiaries to begin construction work immediately. As per government norms, funds will be directly credited to the beneficiaries' bank accounts in four installments.
He explained that Rs 1 lakh will be disbursed after the basement is completed, Rs 1.25 lakh after the walls are built, Rs 1.75 lakh upon slab completion, and the final Rs 1 lakh after the house is fully constructed. He noted that the state government has allocated Rs 22,500 crore in this year’s budget for the construction of 4.5 lakh houses.
Prasad Kumar also informed that Vikarabad constituency will receive a special allotment of 7,000 houses under the Indiramma scheme. He added that development works are underway in every village, and efforts are being made to establish industrial parks on large land parcels in the region to boost employment opportunities for local youth. He also mentioned plans for tourism development in Ananthagiri through a major partnership project.
