Purushaha promises full family entertainment, says director

Director Veeru Vulavala has said that the upcoming film Purushaha, produced under Kalyan Productions by Bathula Koteswara Rao and presented by Bathula Saraswathi, is designed as a complete family entertainer. The film marks the debut of Pavan Kalyan Bathula as the lead actor and features Sapthagiri, Kasireddy Raj Kumar, Rayancha Kokkura, Vishika, and Hasini Sudheer in key roles. It is slated for release on May 22, and the promotional material released so far has already generated strong interest among audiences.

Veeru Vulavala shared that his journey into cinema began with a passion for painting and later expanded into film title design, including work for films like Kotha Bangaru Lokam and over 350 titles in total. He said the story of Purushaha developed while working on Jersey, centered on the idea that only a few men are truly noble. He also worked earlier with Gautham Tinnanuri on Malli Raava and Jersey.

The director said producer Koteswara Rao immediately supported the story and remained encouraging throughout production, with his daughter Saraswathi closely overseeing the shoot. He added that the final cut moved the producer to tears, calling it his long-time dream project. The film was shot in 51 days, mostly in Kakinada, after two months of workshops for the lead actor.

Veeru Vulavala said Purushaha blends love, comedy, horror, thriller, and action elements, with strong supporting characters and entertainment throughout, making it suitable for a family audience.
