Popular playback singer Rahul Sipligunj met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence on Thursday. The meeting came after the state government announced a Rs 1 crore incentive for the singer, fulfilling a promise made by Revanth in 2023 when he was TPCC president.
Rahul expressed gratitude to the CM, who honoured him with a shawl. MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLA Kunduru Jaiveer Reddy, and Khairatabad DCC President Rohin Reddy were also present. Rahul’s journey from Hyderabad’s old city to global fame peaked with his song Natu Natu from RRR, which won international acclaim and even earned an Oscar nomination. The CM lauded him as an inspiration for Telangana’s youth, praising his dedication and hard work.
The Rs 1 crore reward was officially announced during the Bonalu festival in the old city on July 20, marking the government’s commitment to encouraging talent from the state.
