Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to make extensive use of technology in governance to significantly reduce the workload on field-level employees and improve efficiency in public service delivery. Chairing a review meeting on Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) at his camp office, the Chief Minister emphasised that effective use of technology can resolve many long-pending administrative challenges.

Stressing the importance of innovation-driven administration, Chandrababu Naidu declared 2026 as the “Technology-Driven Decision Making Year.” He said artificial intelligence must play a central role in governance and directed departments to rapidly expand the use of AI-based tools in government functioning. He called for continuous monitoring and skill upgradation of employees, stating that where efficiency gaps exist, proper training must be provided to ensure measurable outcomes.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to utilise AI-enabled platforms to ensure faster grievance redressal, improve decision-making accuracy and enhance citizen satisfaction. He said the future of governance lies in data-driven systems, enabling timely interventions and transparent administration.

During the review, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of ‘Mana Mitra - WhatsApp Governance’, through which citizens can now access 878 government services digitally. They informed him that over 1.43 crore people have already availed services through the platform, reflecting growing public adoption of technology-based governance. The Chief Minister said the success of Mana Mitra demonstrates how technology can bridge the gap between citizens and the government, while simultaneously reducing paperwork and manual workload for employees.

Following the RTGS review, the Chief Minister also conducted separate assessments  of the functioning of key departments including Health, Agriculture, Revenue, Roads and Buildings, Transport (RTA) and Fire Services. He reviewed service delivery standards, response times and technology integration across departments. The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is moving toward a governance model where technology empowers employees rather than burdening them, enabling faster decisions, improved transparency and better outcomes for citizens.
