Road Safety Summer Camp inaugurated in Hyd

D. Joel Davis, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad, inaugurated the Road Safety Summer Camp 2026 at the Traffic Training Institute, Goshamahal on Monday as Chief Guest.

The camp, organised for children aged 10 to 15 years, aims to build road safety awareness along with overall personality development. This year, 100 children have enrolled in the programme. The curriculum includes Traffic Awareness, Road Safety education, Basic Life Support, Fire Safety, along with creative activities like Dance, Music, Painting, Handwriting Improvement and Personality Development sessions.

Addressing the participants, Joel Davis encouraged children to dream big, work hard, and make their parents and the nation proud by drawing inspiration from achievers. He urged them to act as “traffic ambassadors” and spread road safety awareness among parents, friends and communities. He stressed that early awareness can significantly reduce road accident fatalities.

The event was attended by Kajal Singh, IPS, DCP Traffic-II, Shishir Chaturvedi, GM Honda Group, Saroj Bala of Aryan Dance Academy, Ananth Raj of Raj Events, along with several instructors and facilitators. The camp continues with interactive sessions daily throughout.
