Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Atmakuri Rama Rao School celebrated “Sankranti Sambaralu” with great enthusiasm at its school premises on Friday. The vibrant festivities reflected the cultural heritage of the harvest festival.
Senior journalist Dr Revathi graced the occasion as the chief guest, while the school Principal Smt Srilatha Nair actively participated in the celebrations along with students and parents.
The school campus transformed into a festive hub with students dressed in colourful traditional attire. Adding charm to the celebrations, students dressed as Haridasu were seen moving around with Gangireddu, a popular folk tradition associated with Sankranti.
The school grounds buzzed with activity as students set up food stalls offering traditional delicacies. Kite-flying and rangoli competitions were organised for students and parents, drawing enthusiastic participation.
The event also showcased special festive treats such as sakinalu and rava laddu, adding a traditional flavour to the joyous celebrations.
