SHE Teams directed to be extra vigilant at Numaish

M. Srinivas, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT, Hyderabad City, conducted a comprehensive review meeting with officials of the Women Safety Wing (WSW) on Monday, emphasizing proactive measures to enhance women’s safety across the city.

The session, held at the WSW meeting hall, was attended by Lavanya NJP, DCP Women Safety Wing, and senior officers from the seven Women Police Stations (WPS), SHE Teams, Bharosa Centers, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), and Juvenile Bureau Unit (JBU).

During the meeting, M. Srinivas stressed the importance of treating victims with empathy and ensuring a supportive environment for anyone approaching the police. Officers were also urged to expedite the execution of Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) and ensure the timely disposal of pending cases to provide swift justice to victims.

Special attention was given to the ongoing Numaish at Nampally, with the Addl. CP directing SHE Teams to remain vigilant, prevent crimes against women, and maintain a safe atmosphere for visitors.

The review highlighted the Hyderabad Police Department’s continued commitment to women’s safety through proactive patrolling, rapid response, and coordinated efforts across specialized units. Emphasis was also placed on tackling harassment, human trafficking, and other crimes targeting women, while building public confidence in law enforcement.
