Sindhu hospitals conducts mega blood donation drive

Sindhu Hospitals, HITEC City organized a ‘Mega Blood Donation Drive’ on Monday to collect over 1000 units of blood in a single drive. The initiative was conducted to raise awareness among the public, especially the youth, about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its critical role in saving lives. The initiative was led under the guidance of Dr. M. Parthasaradhi Reddy, Chairman, Sindhu Hospitals and Chairman, Hetero Group of Companies and inaugurated by M. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director, Hetero Healthcare.

Blood remains one of the most vital resources in healthcare. Patients living with conditions such as thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, leukemia, and various cancers rely on regular blood transfusions for survival.To help address blood shortages in public healthcare institutions, the blood collected during the drive was supplied to major government hospitals, including Osmania General Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, and MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre.
