Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has launched its Vigilance Awareness Week with a strong message on accountability and integrity. Speaking at the inaugural event at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday, Executive Director (Coal Movement) and Chief Vigilance Officer B. Venkanna stressed that honesty alone is not enough, urging every individual to actively participate in preventing corruption.
He stated that vigilance is a collective responsibility and corruption continues to be a major obstacle to national development. Every employee and citizen, he said, should work together to uphold transparency and ethical practices. Venkanna urged all SCCL departments to function with accountability and fairness. Any irregularities, misuse of company assets, or corrupt practices should be immediately reported to the Vigilance Department, assuring that whistleblowers’ identities will be kept confidential.
He added that awareness and alertness among employees can help achieve a corruption-free India and support the nation’s progress toward becoming a developed country. As part of the observance, employees and officers took the Integrity Pledge at the Hyderabad office. The event was attended by General Manager (Coordination & Marketing) Thadaboina Srinivas, GM (E&M) Vishwanath Raju, GM (Civil) Venkateshwarlu, and other senior officials.
