South Zone officials gear up for peaceful Ganesh Festival

A coordination meeting was held on Wednesday at the South Zone meeting hall to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the upcoming Ganesh festival. Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Sneha Mehra, chaired the meeting, which brought together officials from multiple civic and enforcement departments.

Among those present were the Zonal Commissioner, Charminar Zone, Additional DCP South Zone, ACPs of the South Zone, deputy commissioners from GHMC, and representatives from Sanitation, Electrical, RTA, Water Works, Fire, Health, Sewerage, Roads & Buildings, and RTC departments.

During the interaction, the DCP stressed the importance of inter-departmental cooperation to maintain order and safety during the celebrations. She underlined the need for timely sanitation, public safety measures, and coordination for essential services like water and electricity.

The Zonal Commissioner and other officials assured their full support, promising to work collectively for the successful conduct of the festival.

The systematic plan includes regular cleaning and waste disposal at pandals and along procession routes, enhanced public safety measures through surveillance and emergency teams, and logistical support for uninterrupted civic services.

Authorities emphasized that the unified approach would help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for devotees and the public, ensuring that the festival is celebrated in a harmonious manner across the South Zone.
