Nalgonda District Superintendent of Police Sharath Chandra Pawar, IPS, conducted the annual inspection of Chandampet Police Station under Devarakonda Sub-Division on Wednesday as part of the district-wide annual inspection of police stations. During the visit, the SP examined station administration, crime records, case investigation files, pending cases, CCTNS entries, digital records, arms and ammunition, station property, and staff attendance registers. He reviewed the overall functioning of the police station and assessed measures being taken to maintain law and order in the area.
Sharath Chandra Pawar also held a review meeting with police officers on crime prevention, women and child safety, cybercrime awareness, road safety, and community policing. He instructed officials to ensure prompt disposal of public complaints, strengthen night patrolling and beat policing, closely monitor rowdy-sheeters and suspicious persons, execute pending warrants without delay, and intensify action against the transportation and sale of ganja and other narcotic substances.
The SP emphasized the need to strengthen the Village Police Officer (VPO) system, expand community policing initiatives, and increase CCTV coverage in villages, major junctions, commercial areas, and other public places to enhance surveillance and prevent crime. He urged officers to remain people-friendly while maintaining strict vigilance against criminal activities. Devarakonda DSP Srinivas Rao, SB CI Nagaraju, DCRB CI Srinu Naik, Dindi CI Bisanna, Chandampet SI Lokesh, and other police officers participated in the inspection.
