Over 1,000 students gathered at T-Works, Raidurg, on the eve of Ambedkar Jayanti for the “Tribe Meetup: AI Workforce Edition,” hosted by Student Tribe, a Gen Z student community with over 8 lakh members, led by founder and CEO Sri Charan Lakkaraju.

As part of the programme, 663 students who completed AI data annotation projects received payouts, certificates and verified work experience. Each participant earned between Rs 3,500 and Rs 5,000 based on their contribution.

Organisers said the initiative reflects Student Tribe’s model of enabling students to earn through real work instead of simulated training.

Held at T-Works, an initiative of the Government of Telangana, the event highlighted a growing shift in which students engage in AI-related work while continuing their studies.

The meetup also marked the launch of the Student Tribe App, a platform that connects students to jobs, internships, communities and paid gig opportunities.
