Malla Reddy University secures ICAR accreditation

In a major academic milestone, Malla Reddy University has received accreditation from Indian Council of Agricultural Research for its B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture programme in Hyderabad, officials said on Tuesday. The recognition makes the university the first state private university in Telangana to earn ICAR approval, marking a significant step in agricultural education and research standards.

It reflects strong academic quality, improved infrastructure, and commitment to innovation in farming-related studies, according to university officials.

Vice Chancellor VSK Reddy said the achievement highlights faculty dedication and will strengthen research, placements, and rural development initiatives. Officials added that ICAR accreditation will also help secure funding, fellowships, and collaborations, benefiting students and farmers alike. University said it expressed gratitude to ICAR and stakeholders, aiming to expand agricultural innovation and sustainable development across Telangana and India in coming years future growth plans initiatives.
