Launching a scathing critique of the opposition and laying down an ambitious roadmap for Andhra Pradesh’s future, Chief Minister and TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu delivered a high-voltage speech at the Kadapa Mahanadu public meeting, declaring that the Telugu Desam Party was formed with the sole purpose of transforming people’s lives.

Addressing a thunderous crowd in what was the first Mahanadu ever held in the spiritual town of Kadapa — famously referred to as “God’s doorstep” — Naidu said the “Rayalaseema roar must echo across the state.” He emphasized that Kadapa had turned into a human sea and all roads in the state had seemingly led to this temple town. “The response to this Mahanadu is electrifying — a super hit,” he declared.

Chandrababu praised the people of Kadapa for their unwavering support, stating, “When you do good, people stand by you permanently.” He recalled how the TDP had already proven its mettle by winning 7 out of 10 Assembly segments in the region and urged party workers to aim for a complete sweep in the 2029 elections.

Chandrababu took direct aim at the YSRCP, branding its regime as a “case study in how not to govern.” Referring to the infamous “Why Not 175” slogan raised by YSRCP in the past, Naidu said, “That arrogance has cost them their very identity.” He warned that parties that live by violence and vendetta — have no future in a democracy.

“I have never feared even claymore mines. Why would I be afraid of administrative challenges?” he asked defiantly, adding that his struggles are not for himself, but for the people who have placed their trust in him. “We are laying each brick for a better life for the poor. And if we stay united, the YSRCP won’t even have an address left in Andhra Pradesh,” he thundered.

In a passionate appeal, Chandrababu vowed that all land-related issues troubling the people would be resolved by the next Mahanadu. “TDP is the only party committed to social justice and social re-engineering,” he asserted. He took a dig at former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for shutting down subsidized canteens that fed the poor. “Do we really need a leader who takes food away from the poor?” he questioned.

Condemning the controversial Land Titling Act, Naidu accused the previous government of attempting to grab people’s lands under the guise of reform. He reiterated that the TDP is a party of the Backward Classes, and its backbone lies in their strength. “We are the only party that knows how to generate wealth, not destroy it,” he affirmed. Naidu also announced that Andhra Pradesh would attempt a world record on June 21 by having nearly 2 crore people participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations.

Unveiling an elaborate blueprint for Rayalaseema’s development, the Chief Minister pledged to transform the region into the crown jewel of Andhra Pradesh. “By June 12, work on the long-awaited Kadapa Steel Plant will begin,” he assured. He also promised to reconstruct the Annamayya Dam and complete the Haj House within six months. Develop Rayalaseema as a horticulture hub, establish a 100-foot statue of Sri Krishnadevaraya at Gandikota and integrate major temples to promote temple tourism.

Drawing a parallel between national security threats and economic mismanagement, Naidu issued a stern warning. “Terrorists are a threat to the nation, and financial terrorists are equally dangerous to the state,” he declared. “Under Operation Clean Politics, we will not let them sleep peacefully. We will go after those who looted the state wearing political masks.”

Chandrababu concluded on an optimistic note, placing his hopes firmly in the hands of the youth. “The alliance government exists for your future,” he said. “Youth are my strength, and my hope. I am with you,” he proclaimed. He revealed that due to the chaos and fear during the previous regime, industrialists had fled Andhra Pradesh. “Now, they are lining up to invest again,” he said, promising to make the state a global hub of innovation and industry.
