Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Rajya Sabha candidates Sana Satish, Bhashyam Ramakrishna and Chintakayala Vijay on Monday filed their nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections scheduled to be held on June 18.
The candidates submitted their nomination papers to Returning Officer R. Vanitha Rani at the Assembly building in Amaravati. Leaders of the NDA alliance participated in the nomination process and signed as proposers for the candidates.
Industrialist Sana Satish filed two sets of nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha election. His nomination was proposed by Chief Whip and MLA G.V. Anjaneyulu, along with MLAs Kanna Lakshminarayana, Pantham Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) and Tangirala Soumya.
Prominent educationist and chairman of Bhashyam Educational Institutions, Bhashyam Ramakrishna, also submitted two sets of nomination papers. His proposers included Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and MLAs B. Ramanjaneyulu, Kolisetti Srinivas and Sriram Tataiah. Senior TDP leader Chintakayala Vijay likewise filed two sets of nomination papers. His nomination was proposed by Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy and MLAs Kamineni Srinivas, Sundarapu Vijay Kumar and Bode Prasad.
The nomination filing process was attended by Assistant Returning Officers M. Akhil Kumar and P. Vijayakumari. Several senior alliance leaders, including Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao (Nehru), Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao (Kondababu), Varupula Satya Prabha and Bandaru Satyananda Rao, were also present.
Chairman of the 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee Lanka Dinakar and other coalition leaders participated in the event, demonstrating the alliance’s support for the candidates.
