The Telangana government on Wednesday credited salaries to employees working on outsourcing, contract and honorarium basis on the first day of the month, implementing Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's directive to ensure timely wage payments.
According to an official release, the Chief Minister had instructed officials to eliminate delays in salary disbursement after learning about the hardships faced by thousands of employees due to late payments. Acting on the directions, departments completed all administrative formalities before the last working day of June, enabling salaries to be credited on July 1.
The Chief Minister reviewed the process on Wednesday and was informed that wages had been deposited into the bank accounts of eligible employees.
The state government said the initiative aims to provide financial security and timely income to outsourced, contract and honorarium workers. Revanth Reddy has repeatedly criticised the previous government over delays in salary payments to employees and assured that such delays would not continue under the present administration.
