Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy emphasized the need to reduce plastic usage and protect the environment, stating that it is the collective responsibility of all citizens. He pointed out that excessive plastic use is polluting the surroundings and causing environmental degradation.

As part of efforts to curb plastic consumption, the Telangana government has launched an awareness campaign promoting the use of jute bags. Gutta Sukhender Reddy welcomed this initiative, calling it a positive step towards a cleaner and greener Telangana.

Today, Telangana Minister Konda Surekha and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari met Gutta Sukhender Reddy at the Legislative Council and presented him with a jute bag as a symbolic gesture of the campaign. Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the importance of reducing plastic use and embracing sustainable alternatives.
