Chief Minister A. Revanth to lay foundation in Gachibowli
Metro India News | Hyderabad
Telangana is all set to transform its Stamps and Registration Department with the establishment of corporate-level integrated sub-registrar offices, aimed at delivering efficient and transparent public services. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for the first such integrated facility at the Telangana Academy of Land Information and Management (TALIM) in Gachibowli on August 20, marking a significant step toward administrative reform.
Revenue, Housing, Information, and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that these reforms align with the Congress government's vision to provide seamless services without bureaucratic obstacles. The integrated offices will consolidate multiple sub-registrar units to enhance workload distribution, accelerate document processing, and simplify oversight while reducing corruption. In the first phase, 39 sub-registrar offices in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal, and Sangareddy districts will be merged into 11 integrated buildings. The Gachibowli facility will house the Rangareddy, Gandipet, Serilingampally, and Rajendranagar offices, serving as a model for future setups.
Additional integrated offices are planned at Koheda for Abdullapur, Pedda Amberpet, Hayathnagar, and Vanasthalipuram; Mankal in Maheshwaram mandal for Maheshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, and Shamshabad; Kandlakoya for Medchal, Kuthbullapur, Keesara, and Shameerpet; Boduppal for Uppal, Narapally, Kapra, Ghatkesar, and Malkajgiri; Banjara Hills for Banjara Hills, SR Nagar, and Golkonda; and Malakpet for Azampura, Charminar, and Doodbowli. District collectors have been directed to identify sites for four additional buildings to accommodate 13 more offices.
The slot booking system, implemented statewide from June 2 after a phased rollout from April 10, has recorded nearly 3 lakh bookings, ensuring transparency and saving public time. The government, not viewing the department solely as a revenue source, is introducing e-Aadhaar digital signatures, successfully piloted in Armoor (Nizamabad) and Kusumanchi (Khammam), with plans for statewide expansion. These reforms aim to enhance efficiency, curb malpractices, and ensure equitable workload distribution, benefiting citizens across Telangana.
