Telangana’s Bathukamma festival celebrated in Australia

The Telangana community in Australia marked the vibrant Bathukamma festival with grandeur, organized by the Telangana Association of Queensland. The event drew Telangana natives and other Indian expatriates in large numbers, reflecting the state’s rich culture and traditions abroad.

Congress MLA Medipalli Satyam attended as the chief guest and expressed his happiness seeing Telangana traditions being followed even by those living far from home. He emphasized that festivals like Bathukamma and Bonalu have gained international recognition, bringing pride to Telangana’s cultural heritage. He also highlighted that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress government has been promoting these festivals and providing dedicated funds to preserve Telangana’s traditions for future generations.

The event showcased traditional dances, floral arrangements, and cultural performances, giving participants a true taste of Telangana’s festive spirit.

Telangana Association of Queensland officials actively participated, including President Narender Kumar Cholluri, Vice President Madhav Reddy Gurram, Secretary Dayakar Bacchu, and representatives Umesh Vangapalli, Santosh Rao AK and others.
