Tribanadhari Barbarik, produced by Vijaypal Reddy Adidhala under Vanara Celluloid and presented by director Maruthi, is set to release on August 29. Directed by Mohan Srivatsa, the film stars Sathyaraj, Udaya Bhanu, Vasishta N. Simha, Satyam Rajesh, Kranthi Kiran, and Saanchi Rai.
Srivatsa, who began his journey in music, always aspired to become a filmmaker. His storytelling skills landed him the Barbarik project, impressing both producer Vijay and presenter Maruthi with his narration. Despite Barbarik not aligning with Maruthi’s usual genre, he backed the project wholeheartedly after seeing its potential. “Even during his Raja Saab shoot, Maruthi offered valuable input,” Srivatsa shared.
The film blends mythology with modern themes. “Barbarik could have ended the Kurukshetra war, but Krishna intervenes. Each character has layers—there are no clear heroes or villains,” he explained. Sathyaraj plays Barbarik in pivotal parts, enduring intensive makeup processes. Udaya Bhanu also plays a significant, layered role.
Srivatsa praised Infusion Band for delivering fresh, powerful music. “I understand music and audience tastes, and they nailed it,” he added. With strong performances, rich storytelling, and a powerful message about emotional control and inner conflict, Srivatsa believes Barbarik will resonate widely. “This film isn’t just entertainment—it’s a reflection on human nature,” he concluded.
