The Hyderabad Entrepreneurship Summit (HES 2025), organised by TiE Hyderabad in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, announced the ‘TiE 50’ list—recognising the state’s 50 most promising startups with high growth potential.
The initiative, led by Murli Kakarla, Vice President of TiE Hyderabad, aims to identify, mentor, and support Telangana’s emerging startups through funding access, networking, and expert guidance. The 2025 cohort features 50 ventures across varied sectors such as healthtech, sustainability, energy, robotics, and manufacturing. Startups like Ambiator Pvt Ltd, Makers Hive Innovations, Vaave, Switcheko Sustainability, and Bioreform Pvt Ltd are among those chosen for their innovation and scalability.
Describing TiE 50 as a “unique benchmarking initiative,” Kakarla said the selection focused purely on potential and vision, not company size or stage. Of the 294 applications received, the top 50 were shortlisted after a detailed jury evaluation and due diligence process. Non-selected participants will also benefit from TiE mentorship and development programs. Applications for the 2026 cohort are set to open in July.
In addition, the TiE Entrepreneurship Awards 2025 were presented to honour excellence in Hyderabad’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Dr. Gullapalli Nageswara Rao of LV Prasad Eye Institute received the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award, while Greenko founders Anil Chalamalashetty and Mahesh Kolli were named Entrepreneurs of the Year. MIVI Co-founder Midhula Devabhaktuni was recognised as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
The jury included G. V. Prasad, Jayesh Ranjan, Dr. Ramesh Byrapaneni, Ajit Rangnekar, and Sudipta Bhattacharya. TiE Hyderabad President Rajesh Pagadala said the awards celebrate Hyderabad’s innovative, resilient, and impactful entrepreneurial spirit.
