Telangana Rajyadhikara Party (TRP) and Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) have announced a joint political struggle, focusing on social justice and equitable representation for BC and minority communities. The alliance, led by MLC Teenmaar Mallanna along with MBT leader Amjad Ullah Khan, aims to push for the implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009. The two parties officially declared their partnership during a joint press meet on Thursday, calling it the beginning of a larger movement for public welfare.
Addressing the media, Teenmaar Mallanna said the decision came after detailed discussions between both parties. “We have seriously deliberated on what can be done for the people and arrived at a common understanding. For the first time, we are jointly launching a protest on April 26 at Indira Park for the implementation of the Right to Education Act,” he said.
He added that the primary objective is to reduce the financial burden on parents and ensure quality education for students. “By implementing RTE, we can guarantee free access to education and bring accountability into the private education system,” he noted.Mallanna also highlighted broader social issues, including lack of representation for Muslim women in legislative bodies and the backwardness of minorities. “Since Independence, there has not been a single Muslim woman in the Assembly.
The Sachar Committee clearly stated that Muslims are more backward than Dalits in many aspects. Wherever there is poverty, we will fight together,” he said. He emphasized that the movement would focus on health and education while raising awareness across households. “This is just the beginning. We will go door to door and mobilize people. Around two crore BCs and minorities in Telangana need upliftment,” he added.
Speaking at the same event, Amjad Ullah Khan said, “TRP and MBT have come together to fight for poor people and ensure RTE implementation. No party, including Congress, BRS, or BJP, has taken this seriously so far.” He urged parents, especially from minority communities, to join the protest. “We will visit every household and ensure this law is implemented at any cost. This is not just political, it is about the future of our children,” he said.
