Netanyahu pulled America into war, alleges Harris
Washington: US President Donald Trump has hailed Israel as a courageous and loyal partner, calling it a “great ally” of the US as hostilities with Iran continue to mount.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump emphasised Israel has proven its reliability during the conflict and stress. He contrasted Israel's actions with other unnamed nations, stating that the country is bold and knows how to win.
He said, “Whether people like Israel or not, they have proven to be a great ally of the United States of America. They are courageous, bold, loyal and smart, and unlike others that have shown their true colours in a moment of conflict and stress, Israel fights hard, and knows how to win!”
These supportive comments follow a more stern warning issued by the Republican leader a day prior, where he urged Israel to avoid bombing Lebanon, remarking that “enough is enough”.
The remarks followed former Vice President Kamala Harris accused Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu of dragging the US into a conflict with Iran. She also called the escalation a “feeble attempt” to divert attention from the “Epstein files”.
Speaking at an event hosted by the Michigan Democratic Women's Caucus in Detroit, she referred to Israel’s PM by a common moniker, saying, Trump “entered a war, got pulled into it by Bibi Netanyahu, let’s be clear about that.” “He entered a war that the American people do not want, putting at risk American service members,” she added. She did not hold back in her criticism of the administration, calling it the “most corrupt, callous and incompetent” administration in the history of the US.
