The iconic laddu prasadam of Tirumala, revered as much as the darshan of Lord Venkateswara itself, has achieved a new milestone. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has recorded unprecedented laddu sales during the 2025-26 financial year, reflecting the steady surge in pilgrim footfall.

According to official data, TTD sold a staggering 13,95,43,231 laddus between April 2025 and March 2026. This marks a sharp increase from the previous financial year (2024-25), when 12,18,53,535 laddus were sold. The jump of nearly 1.76 crore laddus within a year underscores the growing influx of devotees visiting the hill shrine.

The surge in sales has translated into significant revenue gains. TTD is estimated to have generated around Rs 567 crore from laddu sales in the last financial year alone, making it one of the highest revenue-generating religious prasadams in the country.

To meet the rising demand, TTD has scaled up its production capacity. On average, around 4 lakh laddus are prepared every day, ensuring uninterrupted supply to devotees. Every pilgrim visiting the temple is provided one laddu free of cost as part of the darshan. Additional laddus are sold at Rs 50 per piece, a price that has remained accessible despite rising input costs.

Officials attribute the record sales primarily to the consistent rise in pilgrim turnout, especially during peak seasons and festival periods. Improved infrastructure, streamlined darshan systems, and enhanced accommodation facilities have also contributed to increased footfall.

The Tirumala laddu, known for its unique taste and sacred significance, continues to be a symbol of devotion and a key pillar of TTD’s revenue ecosystem. With pilgrim numbers expected to grow further, authorities anticipate that laddu production and sales will continue to set new benchmarks in the coming years.
