HEMA SINGULURI  | Hyderabad

The Unique English Medium High School has carved a distinct identity in Hyderabad’s educational landscape through its emphasis on constant guidance, peaceful learning, and accessible management, making it stand apart from conventional schooling models. Established in 1989 by Sri P. Shivaiah, correspondent, and Sri Nagabhushana, principal, the institution continues to function with a strong focus on quality education, moral values, and holistic student development.

From Pre-School to Class X, the school follows the State syllabus with CCE methodology, ensuring structured academic learning while also promoting creativity, discipline, and emotional well-being among students. The school, located at Suryanagar in IDPL under Quthbullapur, has steadily built its reputation for producing consistent SSC results at both Mandal and District levels.

A Learning Environment Rooted in Values and Innovation

The school’s approach blends academic instruction with moral education. It places strong emphasis on social service, ethical values, and building healthy relationships among students. Teaching methods are designed to help students develop independent thinking and communication skills, preparing them to become responsible contributors to society.

The institution also actively encourages students to showcase hidden talents by celebrating various cultural traditions, upholding the principle of “Unity in Diversity.” Its guiding motto, “Vidhye Amrutham – Vande Matharam,” reflects its commitment to meaningful and peaceful learning.

The results reflect a balanced academic distribution with a significant number of high achievers.

Founder’s Vision: Guidance, Peaceful Learning and Parental Trust

Founder and Secretary Sri P. Shivaiah attributes the school’s steady growth since 1989 to consistent guidance and disciplined yet flexible academic management. According to him, availability and accessibility for parents, students, and staff remain central to the school’s functioning.

He emphasized that teachers are continuously trained and guided to ensure quality education that extends beyond academics to include students’ mental well-being. The institution focuses on creating a supportive environment where teachers are qualified, well-supported, and encouraged to engage meaningfully with both students and parents.

A key feature highlighted by the founder is that faculty members are not pressured to rush through syllabus completion. Instead, they are encouraged to adopt a slow, peaceful, and student-friendly teaching approach that prioritizes understanding over speed.

He also noted that textbooks and learning materials are updated annually to ensure relevance and easy comprehension for students.

Concerns on Modern Education Trends

Sri Shivaiah expressed concern over the growing trend of students and parents blindly following courses or institutions based on external influence rather than individual suitability. He stressed the importance of giving students time and exposure to explore different academic and career paths without unnecessary pressure.

He further highlighted that parental involvement plays a crucial role in shaping student careers and mental health. According to him, parents must create a positive and encouraging environment at home to complement school education.

Soft skills and a strong work ethic, he added, are increasingly lacking in the current generation, and schools must actively focus on developing these qualities.

Future Direction and School Ethos

Looking ahead, the management is planning initiatives to address evolving educational challenges and increasing competition in the region as more institutions emerge. Despite this, the school maintains its core identity of ensuring parent satisfaction, continuous availability, and a family-like atmosphere.

Sri Shivaiah concluded that the school’s uniqueness lies in its combination of academic discipline, emotional care, and constant engagement with parents and students, making it a trusted institution in the locality for over three decades.
