The Chief Justice of India Justice BR Gavai warned on Wednesday that temporary jails would be set up to send the authorities concerned to these jails if the Kancha Gachibowli forest land near to the Hyderabad Central University was not protected.As part of the hearing of the controversial HCU based Kancha Gachibowli case, the Supreme Court has once again issued warnings to the authorities.
The respondents urged the SC for time to examine the affidavits filed by the Telangana state government. Responding to the plea, the SC gave two weeks time and adjourned the hearing of the case to August 13.When Chief Justice BR Gavai questioned the State government whether it took steps to the protect the forest lands , the lawyers on behalf of the Telangana government said that they had stopped all the work on the Kancha Gachibowli lands for now.
