Telanagana state BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday accused Congress leaders of indulging in black marketing of Urea sent by central government for the farmers. Addressing party workers who arrived from Makthal assembly constituency of Narayanpet district, he said that local elections are around the corner and asked party workers to expose state Congress government misdeeds including creating of artificial Urea scarcity. He said that it was unfortunate that state government is not supplying adequate Urea to even cotton farmers as Makthal area is known for cotton crops.

It was the responsibility of state government to check causes of scarcity despite supply of additional Urea by central government, he said and questioned why the government has failed to ensure sufficient supply of Urea to fertilizer shops. He informed that central government has supplied over 12 lakh metric tonne of Urea fertiliser  to Telangana despite demand of only 9 lakh metric tonne by Revanth Reddy government.  Emphasizing the need of unity, the BJP chief said that people have confidence in BJP and called upon party workers to work hard unitedly to help party to come to power.
