The Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) issued a statement stating that it would not demolish Fatima College built on Salakam Cheruvu as the institution supports 10,000 students. The college is owned by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Since the college was built in the FTL area, we said we would try to remove it in the last September. This institution is running from KG to PG for the poor Muslim women. No fees are charged in this college. More than 10,000 young girls to young women are studying in this college. The poor Muslim women are being freed from backwardness by way of education. No action is being taken against the college because it is working for the poor.

However, we are being strict in the matter of the illegal properties of the MIM party leaders. We have demolished the huge illegal structures occupied by the MIM party MLAs and MLCs. We have also demolished the structures of a close friend of the Owaisi family. He converted a 25-acre lake into a flat. We have already recovered assets worth about ₹.1,000 crore from the MIM party leaders informed HYDRAA authorities.

We have taken possession of the MIM corporator's land in Chandrayangutta. We have stopped the demolition of Fatima College due to social reasons. We are adopting a soft approach towards it because the college is run with social consciousness,' the Hydra said.

Earlier, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay made sensational comments regarding the Fatima College issue. He objected to a statement made by the Hydra Commissioner AV Ranganath on his X platform that they would not demolish the Fatima College. Sanjay demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should clarify as to what injustice would happen if the Fatima College was demolished? “Is this the government's decision? Or is it the official's own decision,” Sanjay asked.
