Women ministers, MLAs, and MLCs of the ruling coalition observed a color dress code in the Assembly and Council on the occasion of Navratri, arriving in red attire to mark the Gayatri Devi alankaram.

Earlier in the day, the leaders offered prayers at the Kanaka Durga temple, seeking blessings for the state. Speaking on the occasion, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita said the dress code was aimed at sending a positive cultural message.

“We prayed to Goddess Durga to keep the state peaceful and prosperous. The Navratri celebrations are being conducted with grandeur, and the government is ensuring that no devotee faces any inconvenience,” Anita said, extending festive greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
