‘Work United or Face the Axe’

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana President N. Ramchander Rao has made it clear that the party will award tickets primarily to dedicated and loyal karyakartas (workers) in constituencies where victory is realistically achievable. In areas with low winning prospects, the party will opt for “alternative arrangements,” Rao announced during a press conference at the state party office on Saturday

Emphasizing iron discipline, Rao strongly cautioned party workers against hasty or reactive steps if they do not receive tickets. “Acting prematurely against the party will be treated as a serious breach of discipline,” he warned. He went further, describing any criticism of the BJP from within as equivalent to “betraying one’s own mother.” Rao declared that individuals who continue in the BJP while filing nominations on behalf of other parties will face stringent disciplinary action, with no possibility of receiving future tickets or ever being readmitted to the fold.

“These decisions are in strict accordance with the directives of the national leadership,” Rao stressed. “Party interest supersedes individual ambition. There is no discrimination between new entrants, veterans, seniors or juniors—we are all equal in serving the organisation.” He concluded his appeal with a call for unity: The BJP has fielded candidates in every single one of the 2,996 wards and divisions spread across Telangana’s 116 municipalities and 6 municipal corporations, issuing B-forms to all nominees.

Rao launched a sharp attack on both the previous BRS and the present Congress governments, accusing them of running parallel tracks of corruption and mismanagement. He singled out the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS), alleging that lakhs of applicants were exploited through fee collection.
