Hyderabad: Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City in collaboration with the Academy for Advanced Pulmonary Education and Research (AAPER) conducted a national-level “Severe Asthma Preceptorship Program” conference and live workshop on Monday. The conference focused on advancing precision medicine approaches in the diagnosis and management of severe asthma through case-based learning and hands-on training. The event was inaugurated by the Managing Director of Yashoda Hospitals, Dr. G. S. Rao who attended as the Chief Guest.
On this occasion Dr. G. S. Rao emphasized such practical, case-based preceptorship programs aim to promote specialized medical education and improve patient outcomes through precision respiratory care. Dr. V. Nagarjuna Maturu, Senior Interventional Pulmonologist noted that the objective of the preceptorship was to provide doctors with practical, case-based exposure and enhance their ability to implement personalized treatment strategies. The conference featured expert sessions on key topics such as the definition of severe asthma and phenotyping in the Indian context.
