The elections for the Office Bearers and Executive Committee of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for the 2025–2029 term were successfully conducted on Thursday in Mohali, Chandigarh.
In these elections, Amit Sanghi, President of the Telangana Rifle Association, was elected as Senior Vice President of the NRAI by a considerable margin. This milestone is particularly significant, as he is the first representative from Southern India to hold this prestigious national position.
With over 25 years of experience in the shooting sports ecosystem, Sanghi has been an active contributor to the NRAI for many years. His extensive administrative expertise and dedication to the growth of shooting sports have earned him widespread recognition within the fraternity.
Commenting on his election, Amit Sanghi stated, 'This responsibility strengthens my commitment to collaborate with all stakeholders to advance shooting sports in India. I will focus on supporting athletes, enhancing training infrastructure, and ensuring India maintains its strong presence on the global stage.' The Telangana Rifle Association (TRA) congratulates the newly elected NRAI office bearers, including President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Secretary General Pawankumar Singh, and Honorary Treasurer Meghasham Shripad Bhangle.
