Hyderabad: The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was grandly celebrated on December 3, 2025, at the Helen Keller Institution in RK Puram. The event was organized in the presence of visually impaired students, intellectually disabled students, and others. Various games, competitions, and cultural programs were conducted for the school students, and prizes were awarded to the winners by the chief guest.
The chief guest, Umar Khan, speaking on the occasion, said that the main objective of observing the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities" is to ensure that differently-abled individuals achieve full participation in all spheres — social, economic, and cultural — and that their rights, opportunities, and dignity are respected and protected.
He extended heartfelt wishes to all differently-abled individuals who are succeeding in this manner.The college Principal Dr. D. Armugam and all other teaching and non-teaching staff participated in today’s program and conveyed their best wishes to the students.
