On the sixth day of his Australia tour, Andhra Pradesh Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh highlighted the state’s ambitious roadmap to position Andhra Pradesh as a global leader in education, economic growth, and sports by 2047. Addressing multiple high-level forums in Melbourne, Lokesh emphasized the government’s transformative reforms and investment-friendly initiatives.
At the International Education Round Table organized by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Lokesh outlined the state’s LEAP (Learning Excellence in Andhra Pradesh) program, launched this year to enhance student learning outcomes and prepare them for 21st-century skills. The initiative incorporates AI-driven teaching, foundation literacy and numeracy programs, game-based learning, and future-ready curriculum aligned with NEP 2020. “Our aim is holistic student development through global best practices, emphasizing ethics, leadership, and real-life skills,” he said. Representatives from Study Melbourne, Victorian education bodies, and leading universities including Monash, Swinburne, RMIT, and the University of Melbourne participated, noting Victoria attracts over 175,000 international students annually, generating $12.6 billion for the local economy.
