The Andhra Pradesh government is gearing up to release the second instalment of the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme on November 19, in coordination with the Centre’s PM-Kisan payment scheduled for the same day. Agriculture Minister K. Achchennaidu conducted a high-level review via teleconference with the Agriculture Department’s Principal Secretary, Director, and Joint Directors from all 26 districts, issuing a series of directives to ensure smooth implementation.

The minister said the Centre’s Rs. 2,000 under PM-Kisan and the State’s ₹5,000 under Annadata Sukhibhava will be credited simultaneously, providing a total benefit of ₹7,000 to every eligible farmer. He emphasised that extending support to farmers is not a burden but a responsibility of the government, and instructed officials to ensure that no eligible farmer is left out.

Achchennaidu directed officials to conduct the second-phase rollout in a festive atmosphere across the State. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to participate in the disbursement programme on November 19 in Kamalapuram constituency of YSR district, where officials and public representatives will oversee the crediting of funds directly into farmers’ bank accounts.

To avoid delays, the minister instructed field-level staff to coordinate with banks and activate all inactive NPCA accounts. In cases where the beneficiary farmer has passed away, officials were told to ensure benefits reach legal heirs through timely death mutation updates. He also stressed simplifying the online registration process so that eligible farmers can update their details with ease.

Officials informed the minister that 46.62 lakh farmers would benefit under the second installment of the combined Annadata Sukhibhava–PM Kisan scheme. A total of ₹3,077.77 crore will be jointly released by the State and Central governments.

Achchennaidu further instructed the department to set up a toll-free helpline for grievance redressal and ensure that SMS alerts are sent to all beneficiaries a day in advance. He also directed local staff to conduct awareness programmes in villages and resolve complaints from farmers who missed receiving the first instalment, ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries receive their due support.
