The Bengalee Cultural Association (BCA), Hyderabad, successfully concluded its 53rd Sarbojanin Durga Puja celebrations, held from October 15 to 20, 2026, at Banjara Function Hall, Masabtank. The six-day festivities witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Bengali community and people from diverse cultural backgrounds across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
This year's central attraction was an intricately conceptualised pandal recreating the grandeur of a traditional Bengali Bonedi Bari (aristocratic zamindar household), inspired by Bengal's historic Rajbaris.
Navin Mittal, Principal Secretary to the Government, Energy Department, Government of Telangana, graced the celebrations as the Chief Guest. He offered prayers to Maa Durga and appreciated BCA's five-decade-long legacy of bringing people together through culture, devotion and community engagement. Senior BCA member Ranjit Paul mentioned that of the main highlight of the Puja is the use of thousands of lotus flowers for Pushpanjali.
BCA served free Bhog Prasad to devotees on October 17, 18 and 19. The association, which received the Best Annadaan Award 2025 at the Telangana Durga Puja Grand Samman Awards 2025, reaffirmed its commitment to sharing the spirit of the festival through food, service and collective participation. The evenings came alive with cultural performances from October 16 to 19. The event was supported by corporates and brands like Sri Aditya Group, NMDC, State Bank of India (SBI), etc.
