KTR to submit Evidence-Based Complaint

A high-level delegation of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), led by its Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, will meet Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on January 27 (Tuesday) to submit a detailed complaint on the alleged multi-crore Singareni scam.

The BRS delegation will apprise the Governor of what it termed large-scale corruption and the systematic looting of public money in Singareni Collieries under the present Congress government. The party will submit a comprehensive report supported by documentary evidence, seeking a thorough and impartial inquiry into the alleged scam involving thousands of crores of rupees.

BRS leaders have alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and other ministers, along with their close associates, are directly involved in the Singareni irregularities. The delegation will urge the Governor to intervene in his constitutional capacity and ensure accountability, transparency, and strict action against those responsible.

The party asserted that Singareni, a prestigious public sector institution and a backbone of Telangana’s economy, has been reduced to a vehicle for political profiteering under the Congress regime. BRS leaders will convey that those entrusted with protecting public resources have instead betrayed public trust, thereby forfeiting their moral and constitutional right to continue in office.

The delegation will also highlight the broader pattern of alleged corruption and administrative arbitrariness in the state, stressing that failure to act on such grave allegations would set a dangerous precedent. Senior BRS MLAs, MPs, and party leaders will be part of the delegation, collectively registering their protest and demanding immediate corrective action.

‘Constitution vs Anarchy’: KTR at Telangana Bhavan

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan during Republic Day celebrations, KTR strongly criticised the Congress government, describing the present governance as “anarchy masquerading as administration.” He said constitutional values are being trampled at every step under the current regime.

A thought-provoking short play enacted by students of University of Hyderabad (UoH) highlighted alleged constitutional violations, misuse of power, and suppression of dissent. KTR said the play reflected the anguish of students and citizens alike, particularly over land issues involving HCU.

Quoting Dr B. R. Ambedkar, KTR remarked that even the best Constitution fails if those in power lack integrity. He accused both the Congress in the state and the BJP at the Centre of competing in undermining constitutional norms, and called upon citizens to collectively defend democracy, justice, and federal values.
