Central Government Deputy Secretary commends grievance redressal in NTR district

16,806 representations have been received in the district so far through online mode, Chief Minister's Public Forum, call center, PGRS and other means, of which more than 13,000 have been resolved

Parthasarathy Bhaskar, Deputy Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, said on Saturday that the efforts to resolve problems and provide good governance through the public grievance redressal platform and revenue conferences being implemented in NTR district are commendable.

As part of the Good Governance Week and ''Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur'' campaigns being held across the country from 19th to 24th of this month, Parthasarathy Bhaskar interacted with District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha at Collectorate Hall in the Vijayawada. Deputy Secretary Parthasarathy Bhaskar said that it is commendable that better services are provided in terms of good governance while working towards resolving people's issues.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Dr.G.Lakshmisha said that as part of resolving public issues and providing better governance to the citizens in the district, a Public Grievance Redressal Platform (PGRS) is being organized every Monday. He mentioned that in the PGRS section organized in the district, special steps are being taken to resolve the problems of differently-abled people and the elderly. He added that in addition to the PGRS organized every Monday, 16,806 representations have been received in the district so far through online mode, Chief Minister's Public Forum, call center, PGRS and other means, of which more than 13,000 have been resolved.

He informed that the state government is organizing prestigious revenue conferences as part of resolving long-standing revenue problems and that revenue conferences will be held in 323 revenue villages in the district from 6th of this month to 8th January 2025. He informed that the concerned Tehsildar, Surveyor, Revenue Inspector and VRO are attending these conferences and solving revenue problems on the spot with the revenue records related to the villages. He informed that More than 172 conferences have already been completed and more than 11,304 people have attended the conferences and solved their problems. District Collector Dr.Lakshmisha explained to Parthasarathi Bhaskar that 463 government services related to main departments are being made available to the people locally through 605 village ward secretariats across the district.  

Explaining how long-standing issues were resolved in revenue conferences, District Collector explained to Deputy Secretary Parthasarathy Bhaskar that in Gudavalli of Vijayawada Rural Mandal, the unresolved road dispute between Jonnalagadda Mangapati and other farmers for 15 years, the boundary dispute between Bhukya Manga Bai for 19 years in Nunna village has been resolved and 21.11 acres of land has been acquired, the cemetery boundary dispute between Bolladla Ravi and villagers for 18 years in Pathapadu village has been resolved, and the boundary dispute between Bheemireddy Shankar Reddy and others for the last two years in the same village has been resolved.

Deputy Secretary Parthasarathy Bhaskar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has been implementing the 'Prasasan Gaon Ki Ore' program for the last five years  to solve public problems and provide better governance to citizens. He visited Vijayawada Rural Gudavalli Secretariat 1 and inspected the services provided by the Secretariat and expressed satisfaction.

The meeting was attended by Village Ward Secretariat Special Officer P. Jyothi and Liaison Officer Ramakrishna.
