Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to make government services more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly by simplifying service delivery mechanisms and strengthening the public grievance redressal system through technology-driven governance.

Reviewing the performance of various departments at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre in the State Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister instructed officials to streamline procedures and ensure faster delivery of public services. Officials informed him that the government has already begun simplifying procedures in 11 categories of services as part of the first phase of reforms.

Emphasising the need for an effective grievance redressal mechanism, Chandrababu directed officials to enable citizens to lodge complaints through online platforms as well as the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service. He also instructed that voice messages sent through the platform should be accepted to make the system more accessible to people from all sections of society. During the review, officials informed the Chief Minister that nearly 3,000 locations across the state continue to face mobile connectivity issues. Chandrababu directed the concerned departments to resolve these gaps within the next three months to improve digital access to government services.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the Navachethana Early Childhood Development Screening Programme being implemented by the Women and Child Welfare Department. Officials said 33,949 children have been screened so far to assess their physical and mental development, with screening being conducted both at Anganwadi centres and through household visits. A pilot project is also being launched to ensure systematic follow-up for identified cases.

To improve field-level governance, officials informed the Chief Minister that a circular has been issued mandating regular field visits by senior officers. Under the new guidelines, Secretaries will spend three days, Heads of Departments six days and District Collectors eight days every month in the field. Chandrababu instructed officials to identify major public issues during these visits and ensure immediate resolution.
