Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously re-elected as the party’s national president during the second day of the TDP’s annual Mahanadu conclave, currently underway in Kadapa. This marks yet another unchallenged endorsement of his leadership from the party rank and file.

According to party officials, Naidu was the sole nominee for the top post. With no other contenders in the fray, his re-election was formally declared by the party leadership. He will now serve a fresh two-year term as TDP’s national president.

Naidu first assumed the role of party president in 1995, taking over from party founder and legendary actor-politician N.T. Rama Rao. Since then, he has remained at the helm for nearly three decades, steering the party through both governance and opposition roles. Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, he transitioned from state party chief to national president, reflecting TDP’s evolving political structure.

Party sources credit Naidu’s unwavering commitment, strategic leadership, and consistent advocacy for public issues as key reasons for his continued command. His re-election is seen as a strong reaffirmation of faith in his stewardship at a time when the party is seeking to consolidate its resurgence in Andhra Pradesh politics.
