Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid his respects to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday. Joined by a host of dignitaries, including Union Ministers Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, as well as Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament Kesineni Sivanath and Dr. Baireddy Shabari, Naidu honored the late leader’s legacy.

Expressing profound grief, Chandrababu Naidu described Dr. Singh as a trailblazing economist and a tireless public servant whose contributions reshaped India’s economic landscape. “India has lost a visionary reformer,” he remarked, highlighting Singh’s pivotal role in advancing the nation’s development through groundbreaking reforms.

Naidu lauded Dr. Singh’s illustrious career, marked by significant roles in governance. He credited Singh’s foresight for initiatives such as the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), Aadhaar, the Right to Information (RTI) Act, and the Right to Education (RTE) Act, calling them transformative measures that have left a lasting impact. “His passing is an irreplaceable loss to the nation,” Naidu concluded.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also expressed deep sorrow over Dr. Singh’s demise. In a heartfelt tweet, Kalyan wrote, “I am deeply shocked to hear of Dr. Manmohan Singh’s passing. May his soul rest in peace.”

Describing Dr. Singh as a visionary leader and recipient of the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, Kalyan acknowledged his critical role in steering India’s economic reforms.

He pointed to the Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization (LPG) reforms introduced during Singh’s tenure as Finance Minister under Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, which he credited with saving the nation from economic turmoil and paving the way for growth.

Kalyan also reflected on Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister, citing initiatives like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), the Right to Information Act (RTI), and the Right to Education (RTE), which he said transformed countless lives.

He emphasized Singh’s unwavering commitment to public welfare, adding, “Dr. Singh’s intellect, integrity, and dedication will continue to inspire generations. His silence often spoke louder than words.”

Besides Deputy CM, all the ministers have extended condolences to Dr. Singh’s family, offering prayers for their strength in this time of loss. All leaders’ tributes underscored the enduring legacy of Dr. Manmohan Singh as a statesman, reformer, and advocate of India’s progress.
