CM condoles the demise of veteran actress Shavukar Janaki

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of veteran actress Shavukar Janaki, who passed away at the age of 94.

In his condolence message, Chandrababu Naidu recalled her remarkable contribution to Indian cinema, noting that she had acted in more than 400 films across her long and distinguished career and had received several awards and honours for her performances.

The Chief Minister said Shavukar Janaki may have passed away physically, but the memorable characters she portrayed on screen would ensure that she remained permanently etched in the hearts of generations of audiences.

Expressing his condolences to her family members and admirers, Chandrababu Naidu prayed for peace to the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.

Shavukar Janaki was one of the prominent actresses of the Telugu and South Indian film industries, with a career spanning several decades. Her performances across a wide range of roles earned her a lasting place in the history of Indian cinema.
