Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has underscored the need to integrate People, Vision, Nature, and Technology into governance to achieve the best outcomes for Andhra Pradesh. Reviewing the state's Gross Domestic Product (GSDP) and key performance indicators with senior officials at the Secretariat on Monday, the CM laid out a comprehensive roadmap to enhance living standards across the state.

Naidu emphasized the need for every department to adopt clear performance indicators, akin to NITI Aayog’s model. “We must plan with short-, medium-, and long-term goals, while focusing on individual families as the core units of development,” he said. The CM set an ambitious target for per capita income to reach Rs.3.47 lakh by FY 2025-26 and Rs.5.42 lakh by 2029.

He called for policies that not only improve incomes but also protect the environment. “Waste from one industry should serve as raw material for another, that’s the foundation of a circular economy,” he said, urging efficient use of natural resources and adoption of cutting-edge technology across sectors.

Naidu highlighted the success of horticulture and aqua sectors, with Gross Value Added (GVA) of Rs.1.26 lakh crore and Rs.1.12 lakh crore respectively. Stressing the importance of value addition, he said such measures would significantly boost the state’s GSDP and economic welfare.

From health to agriculture, technology must become a governance partner, Naidu noted, while announcing that 700 government services will go online from August 15. He emphasized the importance of data integration, urging departments to consolidate information through RTGS and leverage Artificial Intelligence for efficient decision-making.

The CM instructed all departments to define measurable indicators for progress, from air quality and forest cover to per capita electricity consumption and water use. “We should not limit ourselves to wealth creation alone,” he said, urging officials to compare state-level indicators with national and global benchmarks.

“Even with limited population and resources, Singapore has set a global example. With India's vast population and resources, we can achieve far greater success, but only if we plan wisely and execute effectively,” he concluded.
